The Family Center is known primarily for providing safe shelter to victims of domestic and sexual violence.  In addition to sheltering clients we also provide:
24-hour HELP line

Counseling

Women's Support Groups

Children's Support Groups

Children's Activity Nights

Social Service and Legal Advocacy

 Visitation Exchanges/Supervised visitation

 Transitional Support

 Transitional Support Groups

 Food and clothing

 Furniture and household items

 School based services for teens

Volunteer services are needed for the following on-going opportunities:

Receptionist:		  
Answer phones, greet visitors, take messages, file, copy, etc.
Data entry (occasionally)
Victim's Advocacy Opportunities:  
Sexual Assault Victim's Advocate
Domestic Violence-shelter work
Safe Spaces for Pets
Donations & Food Pantry  
Sort and shelve clothing, household, and food items


Volunteer services are needed for the following occasional  opportunities:

Bulk Mailings:
 
Needed six times per year
Food Drives:  
Loading and unloading grocery bags. About 2 times per year
Outside Maintenance:  
Shoveling-sidewalks to the entrances (seasonal)
Gardening (seasonal)
Child Care:  
Hours available:  Morning   or  Afternoon
